Well today I told my wife we were gonna spend some together time....we went to our local Parts Galore which is a pull you own part junk yard to conquer this custom overhead console project...I got the console from a forum member, but no mounting hardware...So I found ONE Expedition in 2 football fields of vehicles and naturally it had to be in the very back...and I hit pay dirt...FYI... I'm getting evil looks from the wife but I'm not letting her know I see them..LOL...So the center console pops right down it has one spring clip on the rear and two up front new the windshield. In the roof supported by 4 phillips screws into plastic fittings is a plate that runs from front to midway back behind the original dome light. So, now its time to start painting the console from two tone tan to two tone gray, customize where the heater controls go with a plate for my Edge CS, and some blue LED side maps lights on each side oh and be very careful cutting the hole in the headliner....after the hole is cut I have decided to drop the headliner and do some insulating through the entire roof...I have some 3/8 foam pad that was used in our basement on the floor for a play area for the kids...nice big 2x2 squares east to cut and shape...with a little contact cement should make things nice and quite and cooler in the summer....I have attached some pics...will have completed ones up in the next couple days...Oh and I took the wife to McDonalds for a Smoothie and some lunch...LOL...shes a good sport!

Panda, I am going back I think tomorrow...I am missing something on my map lights...that console I dropped today was a virgin...I should have just bought the whole thing for 20.00 but the wife was there holding the tool bag and I didn't want to hear...whatta need another one for...what sucks is all I took was the plate and the 2 lighted visors because they are shorter than mine because of installing the console...they charge me 8.00 for the visors and gave me the bracket for free...But I'm gonna go back and get the other console and once I get done moving I'm gonna cut one into the other and extend it through the back seat for a flip down DVD or some more lighting...it would look cool and one of a kind...especially when I put the matching captains seats like I have in the front.....I can hear walnuts mind going already!!! LMAO...If you need something particular let me know can always ship it to you...

I wish I had a u-pick it JY... all ours are overpriced ripoff stores.... but I am waiting to see the edge mount... I won't go with capt chairs cuz I like my bench in the back because I don't usually have my 3rd row in and like having the extra seat

seats

Mine never had the third row seat from the factory...I am a little torn about putting the captains chairs in... because I like the option of folding these rear seats down and having the cargo space...I can have them re-upholstered to look like the front and maybe be happy with that????

Not a problem you need the stuff for the overhead or between the seat? if its overhead there are several different styles...give me an idea or if you want one just like mine that all you have to say...
