Hi, I just bought a 2000 Edie Bauer expy. and I have never owned a ford before. I have had my last gmc Sierra for 16 years and the rust finally caught up to it. My uncle sold me his Expy super cheap, so I bought it. One thing I'm not sure I can live without is the outside temp. my overhead display seems to be working just fine, but there is no outside temp reading at all. I have ben searching all over and can find any solution with my exact problem. Does the 2000 Expy have outside temp reading? It look like it should, there is a sensor behind the grill but when I scroll through the modes on my over head console, I have miles to empty, miles per gallon, then just the compass, then nothing. I assume one of the function should be outside air temp, no?

I figured it out... outside temp works fine, but it is not in the overhead console, it reads on the heater control. Can't believe I didn't see that... 1st day with the truck :)

You'll find that the outside temp usually reads a bit higher, than actual temp. Mine does at least.
