Oxygen sensors upstream

Are they different sensors for bank-1 or bank-2?
I always thought they both are the (upstreams-Driver & Passanger). The tech guy from pep boys was telling this customer,they are different.

Typically both upstream and both downstream would be the same.

This. ^ They're definitely the same on the 3rd gen Expy. Fairly easy to reach without jacking the truck up as well.
