I have been acquiring parts to re do my Expedition XLT. Being up here in New England we have to deal with rust if not properly maintained. I have rusty rockers, door bottoms and a small amount over the rear wheel wells.
I found 4 doors local to me, 3 were rust free and the 4th had a small amount on the inside bottom. I grinded it all off and then covered it in POR-15.
I have a new Rocker panels for the drivers side and will either buy a new one for the passengers side or patch it with metal. I will also patch with metal and seal with POR-15 around the rear wheel wells.
My question is... I got a full set of EB trim, all four wheel arches as well as all the trim for the bottoms of the doors. I was thinking of first painting the mouldings in bedliner spray for a nice textured look and then spray them a light charcoal/dark grey paint.
I will be painting the door jams as well as whole side mantaing the factory color (Spruce Green Metalic) so I think the trim painted grey would be a nice offset
or
Paint it bedliner for the texture then sparay them the factory color just like the rest of the truck.
I was also thinking of blacking out the chrome grill, bumpers.
I also have new Lighting style lights to go it.

What does everyone think?

I was thinking of doing the bedliner/paint to match as well. i don't have EB trim though so the ones on my rig are rough (someone else already painted them wrong color gray) and i want to rid my ride of the redneck multicolor walmart paint job.
