Anyone ever have this error.
The touch screen was beeping. There was red circle on the touch screen.

And an error on the dash park aid malfunction.

I’ve never used park aid.

Did the error occur while using it or in general?

If using it, where in the parking cycle were you?

And whoa...I just realized it happened to mine within 200 miles of when it happened to yours. What are the odds of two vehicles both popping the same fault after 14,000+ miles within 200 miles of each other.

Hmmmmmmm....

Conspiracy me says it’s a programmed glitch to get folks in to the dealer.

I’ll have to keep my eyes open in about 2500 miles. I’m at almost 12,000 miles on mine now.

I was driving down the expressway.

Wow, unbelievable. Tell you what..I'll personally drive down to Florida and take that POS off your hands for a remarkably low price. ;)

Lincoln..pfft..not what they used to be.

Mine did that when the fuse tap was on the image sensor fuse. Dipshits didn’t notice it made the truck go nuts. I had faults showing on touchscreen to point it wouldn’t clear. Had them all over the drive info thing.

maybe cameras are dirty? It has to see everything to pull off the job. I played around one day in a lot while the wife was shopping. Pretty cool, even though I don’t need it.

I absolutely use it to parallel park every single time. But I can always back in to a perpendicular spot better/faster than it can.

In any case, it’s a nifty party trick to impress folks that are along for a ride.

The trucks electrical system has not been tapped into any where.

The truck is very clean the cameras are not dirty,

We did not press the parking aid button, we were cusing down the express way at 48 MPH.

I just had the truck out, and verified the park aid does work.

Maybe a one off warning ⚠️

You guys may be on to something with the software bug. This past week I had two or three times where it said collision avoidance error or something similar upon startup. I don’t have the parking aid, but I do have adaptive cruise control. I acknowledged it and my ACC worked fine. I was at about 13,800 miles.

I was in stop-and-go traffic in Houston after a 4 hour non-stop from Dallas. No effect other than the warning and, like I said, that was more than 25k miles ago. No warnings since and the parking beepers and proximity alerts all work great...as does the self-park.

I had the dealer check it out the next time I was in for an oil change; they saw the code but found nothing wrong. It was clearly a one-off glitch with mine and hopefully will be with yours as well.

My wife's expedition had this error when we were on vacation with it. I was driving and all of a sudden out of nowhere it gave me a message like yours. I had a bile rack on the back and a golf cart riding our bumper when going through the campground.

I couldn't make any sense out of it. I shut the car down when I got to where I was going an re-started it and the error went away.

Did the error disappear for you as well once you shutdown and restarted?

It has been about 4 months since that last happened and she has never had that issue happen again.

it did go away after restart.
Before the restart, the light on the button was flashing.

I was not towing, and all sensors were clear of obstructions.

It for sure was nerve racking not know what was happening or why.

Probably a glitch.

I have to bring it in for a new lincoln emblem that is burnt out. And now the passager turbo wastegate is ratteling like a champ; just like the driver side was rattling.

I will inquire about the error.

I get this quite a bit under very specific conditions. You will need a code reader to see but if you check what the actual code is set it would tell you if it was a short or invalid data, etc. For me it is always an ABS module code that states invalid data received. When this happens to me, it is when I am entering an automatic carwash that uses a conveyor belt rather than a rail. When the front tires hit the belt and quit turning but the back wheels are not stationary yet it freaks the ABS module out. Then a message pops up on the IPC as well as on the Sync screen saying Park Aide fault. The more I tested this out the more I think it is a firmware/software specific parameter that is set too strict and could be fixed if Ford would just do it. I can't think of many other instances where this would occur though so there may be no need in Ford's eyes. In every other situation the ABS would actually keep the wheels spinning rather than locked up, which is what essentially happens when driving on the conveyor belt at such a slow speed, hitting the brakes and putting the tranny in neutral. Since the ABS cannot do what it is designed to do it goes nuts.

Very timely post, just had the same thing, happened to me yesterday, during highway driving. I was getting sensor warnings a few days prior that made no sense. I guess I have a faulty sensor. The truck does have 23000 miles on it so I guess it's time to make an appointment for warranty work.
