New to Expeditions and to the forum. Thanks to all that post here.

My parking brake warning light does not come on when parking brake is set. Brake warning light does go on/off at startup. Is a single bulb used for brake warning and parking brake warning lights? If not, where is the parking brake warning light relative to the brake warning light?

hjackson05, what year truck are we looking at here. This will help us narrow down where the problem may be as there are wiring changes that have occurred over the years.

Pennies from Heaven

Thanks for your reply, Sir. It's a 98. The same light is used for both brake and parking brake warning lights. The switch is good but the plunger wore a hole into the rubber stop that's attached to the pedal's arm. The specialty diagnostic tool was 4 pennies taped to the rubber stop, hopefully, the temp fix will be gluing the pennies together and then gluing them to the rubber stop. The surprising part was that it took a thickness of 4 pennies as there was no sign of wear on the thickness of the stop indicating that a new OEM stop will not be thick enough to fix it.
