2007 Eddie Bauer EL. Lately every time I unlock the truck from the key fob to get in the passenger mirror is popping. The Eddie Bauers have a memory function option that can be enabled with your fob with memory settings which I do have on. This makes it so if anyone else drive the truck the mirrors, seat, and pedal automatically return to the memory positions for either driver 1 or driver 2 (whichever fob is for which memory setting). Anyone know why my pass side mirror would be freaking out? The motor works perfect via the control and it’s not stuck....but for some reason when I unlock the truck it thinks it’s not in the home position when it is!! It basically makes a pop noise and moves a hair then goes back to where it was.

My 2018 F150 does this same crap and the two different dealers were completely useless in trying to get it fixed.

My passenger mirror was snapping back into place also but I reprogramed one and two driver the same after setting the mirror and it's all good now.

So I found a remedy for mine, maybe it’ll help on yours. Basically I reset the memory position on the pedals, seat, and mirrors for a baseline and redid the key fob training procedure all over again with the newly set position (made sure I set my fob to setting 1) and the problem has gone away. I also moved the mirror a tad outward on the new position but I’m not sure if that’s what made the difference or not.

Yea, I just set everything where I wanted it and reset #1 position on the side of the seat. They seem to forget where they were set at sometimes.

My '07 Limited does the same thing. I've recently seen some trouble codes showing up on my scantool for errors related to mirror sensor/motor issues. I wonder if the sensors or motors or whatever are getting old and "weak"?
