performance intake

ok guys i am looking for a ftermarket intake for a 2000 ford expedition with the 5.4 and i am not talking about a cold air intake system either i am tryin to get some more power to tow with and i am changine the exhaust for better flow but i am thinking changing out the intake i could have better flow the too and make more power

i guess that they dont make one i talked to my speed shop and he said he has only seen one place and i cant find them anywhere and he said he thinks they might have went out of business so i guess the search it over inless some of you guys know where to get one

You wouldn't want to change the intake on these trucks because you would give up torque to make more power up top. A supercharger will give you the most power increase for the trouble. A roots or screw type supercharger (kenne bell, whipple, Allen Engine Development) will actually replace the intake manifold because of the packaging. A centrifugal supercharger just forces air down the exitsting intake and suplements power progressively as RPMs increase. The previously mentioned superchargers would be the best for towing since they offer almost instant boost for massive torque increases.....
