Picking up a 2012 EL

So Im switching over from Suburbans to an Expedition..tell me what to look out for and what needs to be upgraded or tweeked..

Check the oil - often. The 5.4 tends to gobble it up and that can be a death sentence for this engine.

Interesting thread for me this one, I picked up a 2012 EL just over a week ago.

I had a '96 Suburban, which I loved I have to say, until it went up in smoke. Literally caught fire and that was the end of that. After a couple of years with smaller SUV's I picked up the Expy EL. I really wanted a full length where all the seats would flat into the floor - the Expy was the only one that I could find which would do that. Apart from the fact that I've liked the look of it.

I had to look quite hard for one with 4x4, seems to be more 4x2's around - but that here in Saudi, might be different where you are. Good luck with your search, hope you find one soon. Cheers.
