Hello Everyone,

First a little back story: My wife and I have come across a great deal on a camper that we want to purchase so that we can take our new son across the country. We we need a SUV or truck that can tow it, and our current SUV doesn't have the rating needed. I found this 04 Expedition for sale that is in our price range. The only issues I can see without going to the dealership it's at is it has a small dent, very cheesy tires, and has 212,000 miles On it. I can fix the dent, and replace the cheesy tires down the road, but my concern is the 212,000 miles. We literaly only have $3000 to spend, and this 04 can pull well over why i need, and since the price is in our range, I can get over the cheesy tires.

I would really appreciate anyones help, advice, thoughts on an 04 expy with 212,000 miles on. I'll paste a link to it.

even with the mileage I would say its a good price. Check it out and take it to your mechanic and see what he would say. Get the carfax on it also check the heater and a/c to make sure they work. Look at the brakes I notice that the sticker in the rear shows it was from N C so its not a local vehicle.

also go to ford etis and enter the vin number it will show what all was on the expy when it was built.
It does show the heavy duty tow package

For that price you can't expect a whole lot. Truck looks clean can you afford repairs if necessary while traveling across the country? I guess personally I don't do anything I can afford especially when children are involved.

"Please HELP!" I love that, it's not like he was stranded at the side of the road somewhere. So dramatic.

That's the problem

So many come on the forum. Ask for help and are never heard from again or if they are, they come back and ask something again and can't even reply with a thank you.

It's typical on any forum. I belong to a few motorcycle forums and see it all the time.

If a new member asks an intelligent question in their 1st post or is active on the forum I will generally answer them, otherwise I watch and listen from the shadows. The "tone" of their post or reply sets the stage so to speak.

We all have wasted too much time on those members that don't contribute to the forum.
