My truck has been hesitating for approx 3 years off and on. Recently is also vibrates on occasion...mainly on acceleration. Today I had some white exhaust, not a lot where I left the car behind me in a cloud but more like on a cold day when exhaust can be seen. I checked the oil cap and there is no white ring around it and my truck has not overheated. The exhaust smells funny but not really sweet. It is a 2005 and has approx 47000 miles on it.

I am not saying it is impossible but I never saw one "blow" in the years I was at a dealer. I did many headgaskets for seepage type external leaks though, maybe a bad coil. Any codes yet?

I would get one of those kits to check for exhaust gases in the coolant. Are you loosing coolant? Your coolant jug level going down? Take the plugs out to see how clean they are. If you find some that look like they're brand new and other are a normal brown , THe real clean ones would indicate trouble in that cyl.
