Drivers Side Power power window stopped going up so I replaced it.
Symptoms were , start ignition and window rolls down, motor gets hotter than a firecracker and won't disengage power. I though it was a bad motor so I replaced it with a duplicated used one; same symptoms. Today I replaced the regulator with a brand new one/ Same symptoms.

I'm starting to pull my hair out and wonder if it's time to take it to a dealer.
The switch was replaced 5 mos ago with a brand new one. All the other locks and windows work just fine. Any recommendations for how to trace this problem. It's starting to sound like an electrical problem to me.

I did disconnect a broken DVD player under the drivers' seat about a month ago so maybe this is relevant..... I taped off the wires and they're still under the seat.

Any other ideas? I'm ready to throw in the towel and take it to the dealer unless anyone sees anything I'm missing here..

Thanks,

Wonder if your switches are sticking.

Perform the component test attached.
