Proper Plug Gap for 2003 5.4L Triton ?

I stand by those Bosch plugs, they seem.to smooth out the engine, if you ever notice it seems rough sometimes with the Mororcraft plugs... I also use the cheap Amazon coil packs, I always get mine from the vendor CCCP, and have never had an issue.

I understand what you mean now, my bad! You can spend LOTS of money working on these Damn things...got to save where you can. I have had the plugs and coil packs in it for about 50k now and so far so good...

I also am running the CCCP coils but forgot what plugs I'm currently running.

I also do use a fair share of anti-seize in an attempt to keep water from trickling down and pooling in the plug wells because that's an issue. Fowls those plugs prematurely. Wish the whole bank had a cover like BMWs have for that very reason.

Another item I found useful was a $10 endoscope that connects to and uses an Android phone to look down inside the cylinder after plug extraction to ensure that any foreign material is located and extracted.

I've never seen a non 3 valve have issues with breaking plugs or being in two pieces.
A cracked insulator on installation or dropped on floor before you bought the plug could cause it.

Most all blown out plugs were due to not being tight enough.
The 3 threads definitely hurts matters but I have seen them blow out with good heads with plenty of threads. They were just not tight enough when they were installed.
I use no anti-seize on non 3 valve ones but always use the autolite or motorcraft nickle plated threads and tighten pretty tight.
I have never used a torque wrench on a ford plug, but I'm probably on the high side. Definitely not 13 ft lbs. Probably 20+
I've only had them blow out on cars I have purchased and not got around to doing plugs or checking them. Never had any I've done blow out. Fairly lucky.
