Hi all!

I encountered a bit of a weird problem on my 2005 Expy 4x4 EB.

I was taking out the rear blend door actuator for the classic problem with a clicking sound when switching between ceiling and floor rear vents. My forward AC control was set to "Rear", and when I leaned on the trim to get a better look at the actuator, the ignition turned on! As you can imagine, I was quite surprised. I tried to wiggle and push on the harnesses and plugs I could see, but none of those caused this phenomenon, only when I put weight on, or tap on the black blower unit inside the rear hvac trim panel. I tried to google the issue, but no luck.

Has anyone else heard about this or encountered this problem before? Any idea what could be causing it? Are there any harness somewhere underneath that could cause this? Would be very helpful to know what to look for when I start pulling out the trim panel to find the cause for this... I do have a U1900 fault code in the ECU, and I might suspect that this may have something to do with that. Are there any CANBUS modules in the back there somewhere? Electrically, everything works fine though, except the cruise control but I don't think that's related to this issue. The car doesn't have any other issues with it that I'm aware of.

Best regards
Lars
