I'm one of those people who much prefers a dedicated winter wheel/tire setup (as opposed to switching tires twice a year on a single set of wheels). Especially given I have the 22's.

I ended up picking up a set of take-off F150 17's and a very low mileage set of 265/70 Yokohama Iceguard i51v's all-in for about 600 bucks. Wanting something a little different I plasti-dipped the wheels black. I had planned on running the oem blue center caps, but what I didn't realize is how long the stub was on the rear halfshaft. Wheels fit just fine, but the center caps won't fit. This isn't an offset issue, it's an problem with how thick the mounting face of the wheel is (although that does contribute to overall offset). I'm assuming since F150's have the solid rear they don't have these stubs. What I don't know is if this is a problem just with the 17's or would be an issue with other OEM F150 wheels as well.

The setup did great in the snow today, but I'm pursuing center cap alternatives as on not sold on the visual without. IMG_4411.jpegFullSizeRender.jpeg

+1 on the spacers...search on here will show several others have used F-150 wheels, but run into the same problem you’ve noticed.

for 600, this is probably the best bang for the buck on winter setup. plasti-dip the center then you are good to go.

Take a step bit and drill out the rear center caps, testing the fit between steps. The axle stub will be flush with it and you’ll be hard pressed to notice it if you paint it black to match the wheels.

Thinking of those myself but a deep bronze.

Was actually thinking about doing bronze too, but the wife drives this car most of the time, and that was a little too edgy for her.

Have spacers on order to deal with the center caps. Also, I am not running TPMS sensors with this setup so I disabled it via FORSCan

Where did you order your spacers from?
Are you just running them on the rear? Should look pretty good as at least from that angle the rears look sunk in a little compared to the front.

Those look really good on there. Granted I have a 2016 so the lines are a bit different but those would likely look pretty good on mine as well.
I have a Silver truck and think a dark bronze would look really good.
I have been trying to decide between the Method Con6, Black Rhino Roku, or ICON Rebound, all in bronze.
But those wheels are all over FB market place for cheap. Wheels, powder coat, and spacers, easily under $600.

this is what I ordered. Still needed to dremel out the backs of the center caps to gain another 1/8 inch or so.

beware the spacers are not hubcentric and because the are about the same thickness as the lip on the hub the wheels lose their ability to be hub-centric as well. It's not a huge deal because the lugs do a good job of centering the wheels but I thought I would point it out.
