For the top part of the console, take the rubber pad out of the bottom of the front of the console, exposing a screw, take it out. you can then pull up on the cupholder/pocket part. it unclips and comes out.
The front dash part (surrounding the wheel and radio) has two screws above the steering column, by the cluster that screw upwards, take em out, then the whole thing is pressure clipped in it comes out toward you if you are sitting in the seat.
This worked in my '03, and I know it works for '04, I am unsure of '06 though it could be the same...
