2018 Limited. After turning off vehicle and just sitting listening to music, the radio would stay powered up for the usual Ford 10 minute time frame. Now it shuts off after about a minute. Any thoughts?

I don’t remember anything in the menu. I would first suspect a battery issue.
Yup, had the same issue. Posted here with my issues and sure enough - battery needed a full charge. Good chance I need i'll need a new battery soon as well.

Take it for a long ride to let battery charge. If you already doing long drives then get the battery checked.

After you get this figured out and would like it stay on longer there are ways of doing that.

Battery was the issue. It was not holding a full charge and some features evidently start to short cycle to preserve what battery life is left. This includes the auto start/stop which I didn't miss at all. New battery and all is well.

I had to replace my battery as well. I actually realized that the battery was going bad because the start stop wasn't turning off the engine anymore and if you go to that section in the menu it will tell you that start stop is disabled to charge the battery or something like that. Mine just said that all the time until they replaced the battery (under warranty). Hopefully this will not be a frequently recurring issue. Many people I talk to have had to replace their factory batteries soon after purchase (Chevy, Nissan, etc.).

I think I am in for a new battery as well. Auto-start stop hasn’t worked for a few weeks despite being driven daily for at least 45 minutes. Radio has shut off immediately after shutting off the engine. Intelligent access door handles and tailgate are intermittent on if they work or not. I tried charging the battery, but I received an error on the slow charge setting.

Do you have a high quality AGM charger? If not one can probably save it. If you do then it’s probably toast. People need to remember that an AGM at 12 volts is around 50% state of charge. But you can only use up to 50% so it basically 0%. Usually anything below 11 volts causes damage. My Expy and battery seem very consultant with the auto start and door handles not working around 12.3 to 12.4 volts. And it takes about 6 hours to top it back off with solar or a charger. Much longer than a drive somewhere.

You have a good one you can recommend?

I was considering one of those NoCo ones and permanently mount it under my hood with a standard plug accessory. I can plug in into my camper every night since it sits right next to it and I keep my camper plugged in while at home.

I have had good luck with the NOCO’s. I have several of them. A old 3500. A new 10 and three 1’s for constantly connected trickle charging for my toys and lawnmower. I also have a Optima 1200 that has not let me down, but it can’t do lithium like the NOCO’s.
