I have followed the forum for a long time, but this is my first post.

I have 2007 Expy EL Eddie Bauer with approximately 85,000 miles. I noticed today that when I start the truck, if I try to change the radio source (i.e. AM, FM, CD) the radio will scroll through two or three sources and stop. It never stops on the one that I selected, though. For example, if I push CD, it will go to CD, then FM 1, and stop on FM 2. If I his FM1, it will go to FM 1, then FM 2 and will stop on AM.

This is only a problem for the first 5 minutes of driving. After that it goes away and the radio works fine. Has anyone else seen this issue or know what causes it?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge and help.

Classic signs of a failing ic, loose connection or cold solder joint. After the unit is on for the 5 minutes the heat generated causes better contact at the failing part. Usually labor charges make all the factory radios door stops when they act up. Good excuse to go Christmas shopping....

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify. Replacing the radio unit entirely should correct the problem, right?
