Rattle/vibrate/drivers side dash

Getting a rattle noise from under the drivers side dash, sounds like plastic vibrating. It happens at different times so it's hard to pin point. I've searched these forums but have yet to find an answer. Anybody face a similar issue? It's an 07 XLT EL 4x4. Thanks

My 2005 XLT may not be the same generation as yours but has a similar sound coming from the passenger side dash. Turned out to be the plastic fairing between the windshield and the hood on the outside even though the sound definitely sounded like it was inside the dash. It takes a little plastic fastener to reconnect. My original fastener was broken and the wind was vibrating the fairing in various conditions. It's an easy fix. Hope that's all it is for you

Thanks for the reply. It seems to only make the noise when its cold outside, below 60 degrees.
