time to tear into my ford expedition, rear feels like it lopes,,,on the road, like tires are massively unbalanced, but swapped tire with spare, and still that way, (check to see if bearings had play or slop by pulling on the rim while jacked up,, and both sides seem okay? maybe shocks or struts? ,,but sits right? I am almost at the point of jackstand the rearend, lock it in 2wd, and see if it vibrates while the wheels spin? anything else seems normal?

When I've had a rear end carrier bearing problem I've heard growling when I step on the gas or let off on the gas. A change in load will force the carrier towards the side with the worn (nearing failure??) bearings.

I had a "lopy" sort of bounce in the K5 Blazer once and it was a knot under the tread on one rear tire. Seemed like it almost made the kids bounce in the rear seat. Pulled over, got out, looked at the boat trailer first (no issues I could see) and on the way back to the door of the K5 saw the big knot sticking up in the tread.

I have a lot of "bad" experiences with starters, rear end transmission, u-joints, springs, shocks, etc. with that thing.

The one time I had a wheel bearing (on the rear) go bad it was a constant low volume growl/rumble I could hear if the engine was quiet enough.

Check your trac bar end links or check for broken lower or upper trailing arm. The lowers are famous for rotting out. They should of been recalled. You may also hear clunking shifting R to D.
