remote start no go

Hey guys, have a 98 with a 4.6. Dealer installed remote start system. Just lately it has started acting up. Will start but will only run for like 3 seconds then shuts off. Will do this 3 times then will give up trying. Works fine with the key. Anybody have any suggestions? Thx
