Replace Microsoft?

I just read on Jalopnik that Ford is considering going with a bankrupt company to replace Microsoft for SYNC functionality. I hate to say it, but I may be driving my last Ford.

If Ford were to drop Microsoft, there are only two other options aside from in-house development - Apple or Google. Blackberry, really?

im in the military and this is a classic case of the lowest bidder wins....BB needs something to support them since their phones are doing it...theyre actually good for corporations...but individual/personal phone use they don't stand a chance...

Well, this is interesting. Looking at Apple's CarPlay page, Ford is listed as a committed partner. Why would they be talking about going with BlackBerry? Maybe to test the market and see how they react?
