I have an older Alpine CDA-9856 head unit that I want to install in place of the stock unit that includes the navigation. I already have the ALP/SIR1 box for my satellite radio but I'm pretty sure no one makes a plug & play wiring harness? How do I know where to splice in the power leads for the Sirius box? And will I still be able to use my stock DVD player with headphones? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

you need to buy a wiring harness...local audio shop...ebay...best buy...crutchfield.com...amazon.com...then you just connect wire to wire...like rt speaker to rt speaker and so on...your instructions should have the directions to hook up the ALP/SIR1 since its the same brand...if not...check out youtube and/or wait for a couple of these novice ppl to give direction...you'll be suprised what you'll find on youtube for stuff regarding audio...

as far as the rear dvd player...there is a way you can still run it...this is a common question that is asked...idk how...but the answer is in here so i'd advise searching for factory dvd...factory dvd player...dvd player...or anything similar in nature...hopefully the guys that have already done it will be here to answer and give you pics to show whats required...

what year is your truck?
