Have you installed them? If so, how are they? Thinking about doing the same to tow w/ my 2012 Exp el.

No I haven't. Was just thinking about it so far. Rock auto shows them as $155/ea (EL1Z18125A). They "should" just be drop in replacements.

The spring will likely need to be changed to the spring that matches the new shock. My Expy doesn't have the Nivomats, but I had a Volvo Wagon that did and I'm guessing they are a similar concept.

Yes you need the springs too. Search the forum, I've posted the detailed parts list here with all needed bolts nuts, etc.
