Rumbling sounds and 4x4 problem

Hello, I'm trying here for the second time to get som assistance, maybe someone have a similar problem.

First, when i drive and only have my foot gently on the pedal, i hear som kind of rumbling sound under the truck, can be transmission or something in that area, dissapears on hard acceleration or when i reach about 50 miles ?
everyting feels normal, but just this sound. my first thougth were that the front hubs or something where sticking ? is there auto hubs on these trucks ?

and Secondly, the dash switch wich engages 4x4, is there indicator light for A4wd ? it seems this feature works normal (but no indicator light), and the 4LO option, but the 4x4 high light just flicker somtimes when put in 4x4 high, and sometimes not comes on at all! can hear the relays, but the light never stays solid.

and in addition to the first question, these sounds were never heard before i tried to put it in 4x4, (just bought the car)

If no one have any comments to make on this,
does anyone have exploded views of transfer case and electric shift motor assy?
maybe the front axle too ? (hubs)

Have jacked up the truck and tested this abit.. .
seems A4wd and 4x4 high works like normal, ( but no 4x4 high light on dash could the lamp in the dash be faulty??) and shiftmotor seems to to what its intended to do..
but i discovered that the hubs are locked, even in 2 wheel drive mode ? anyone have som input on what to do then ? tricks ? thay are vacuum controlled ?

Seriously no one know of either hubs or light problem ?

yes they have auto hubs but thats all I know, I have a first gen lol look up control trac part time and full time 4wd system
