Here is my 2006 KR without bars or boards...

I'll second that they get in the way getting out. About the only thing I have found them useful for on my 2006 EB is crawing out of the 2nd row.

I've always considered removing mine since its lowered and I'm 6'6" too, but I was afraid of the frame rails being visible and taking away from the look. Can anyone let me know how visible the frame rails or other potential ugly/rusted things are with them removed?
