So my running board lights aren't working, so last weekend I climbed under there, and found out that the wiring coming from the main harness to the running boards on the drivers side was completely broken. Upon further investigation, I found out that the wiring was completely corroded inside of the insulation, so this weekend i am going to run all new wiring to it.
The question I have, is this:
on the drivers side, under the car on the frame rail, there is a connector that the drivers side running board harness connects to. I am assuming this is the main connector for the running board system, but where does that lead to, and does that harness supply power to both sides, or only the drivers side?
my manual doesnt list the running board lights, even in the external lighting system.
