Running boards

My brother in law pointed out that the running boards on my 09 xlt are beige instead of black like they should be. Does anyone have any kind of input as to the validity of this. The truck is really clean and has less than 10,000 miles on it. We bought it yesterday.

I will try to get a pic before it gets dark tonight. The vin is 1FMFU16569LA01314.

The rubber piece on the tail gate is black and the pictures of the running boards on the dealerships website are black. But the running boards are not. Any insight would be helpful.

Hmmmm, according to the VIN your XLT Expy is Dark Blue Pearl so I would say somebody swapped the running boards. I believe in 09 the only ones to have beige were the Eddie Bauers and King Ranch versions
I agree with your brother in law the running boards should be black.

I would bring it back to the dealer and say WTF.

I'm really not too worried about it. I Think I am gonna take them off and plasti-dip them.

Other than that I couldn't as for a better truck. It is practically brand new.
