I'm trying to find the right axle shaft for my 98 expedition. It has an S 935 E-1 rear end, I've been sold the wrong rear axle shaft twice now and wasted $50 worth of gear oil. The axle shaft has the larger 1.7x diameter. The first shaft I bought had the 1.6 diameter so obviously Iit was too small. The second one I bought was a power torque axk228 which was the correct diameter but it was just barely too short and I found that out when it was literally like 1/16 of an inch too far out for me to drop the C-clip in. I have searched hi and low and can'tseem to find the correct aaxle shaft anywhere. Can anyone help?

are you sure the second one was all the way in, I just replace the rear axle seal on mine and had to make sure the wheel stud heads were not preventing the shaft from going all the way in, I didn't at first so the shaft wasn't all the way in and the c-clip wouldn't go on, check to make sure the head of the studs aren't preventing this
