So the bottom of my doors have gotten rather rusty but not so much they are unsaveable. I have done the cut weld grind paint dance on a previous vehicle only to be back where i started just after one salty minnesotan winter. So ive decided to experiment with a different process. I will sand down any rusty areas, then i will apply 5-7 coats of flex seal on these areas, upon dry i will wash the area and plastidip my entire expedition. If the process doesnt work or worse then o well i will jist get some doors from the junkyard. I simply like trying something noone else has tried. Let me hear your thoughts/ideas. Also before pics and progress pics coming later tonight.

Reminds me of the movie Johnny Dangerously, rob a bank and peel the plastidip and Voila! a new color.

If I sanded metal down far enough to remove rust and pits, I would primer it well, sand it and let it cure before going with the Plastidip.

Plasti Dipping the entire truck is a bit much haha. If you know you would rather like it a flat black, I would rhino line the whole thing, that would be a lot tougher and more durable than plasti dip.
