Has anyone determined a good way to prevent the center console tray from sliding back and forth on curvy roads?

I use small spring hinged paper clips. The type wher the handles rotate over. Clip one on each rail and the tray will stay put.

I cut a couple pieces of black rubbery drawer liner material and press fit it into the grooves on the bottom side of the tray so it doesn’t easily slide on the rails. It can still be moved if needed, but won’t slide on its own. I also lined the tray with the same material so items don’t rattle.

I cut a couple pieces of black door edge molding. It fit perfect over the raised piece that the tray slides in and blended perfectly.

How hard are you guys driving these rigs for that tray to slide? I guess I must really drive like an old man.

Just what I was thinking....I mean that’s a good turn maybe 2 1/2 Gs.....to get the tray to even start moving. Guess I better get out the Camo tape.

I drive on a double S curve which at 35 mph is enough to slide it back and forth 4 times...but not anymore!

I have a much simpler solution to this problem then many others, rather than paperclips or tape, I simply replaced the small tray with a larger tray that fits the entierty of the unit creating 2 levels. No more sliding around and a perfect fit for the console

Not a problem, it didn't say it fit the expidition but was cheap enough I decided to take a Chance, it came up when I ordered the ocd organizer for the bottom part and I love it, if I need access to the lower level I simply lift it out
