The design engineers have apparently abandoned features we have come to like. We have a ‘18 Platinum. Alas, no rear vent windows. Guess they thought with all the new gee **** stuff we wouldn’t notice what they left out.
You could be onto something with this theory. The rear of these vehicles has a total dead spot in air and the exhaust could hang out back there. The deck lid on mine will carry dry draws clippings if I drive through them so it would make sense that it can trap other things like a gas.I wonder if removing the rear power operated vent windows has anything to do with all the issues Ford had with exhaust fumes entering the cabin on the Explorer? Maybe they didn't want to risk an issue.
