Wow!!! That’s great. Where are you located? We are interested in the King Ranch (standard wheelbase) but were quoted $6k OVER MSRP.

I'm in Texas, but ordered from Granger in Iowa. That's their standard pricing on Expeditions.

I was at the Portland Autoshow this last weekend and every Ford had a window sticker that said if you took a test drive you got a $1500 voucher and could combine that with their $1000 rebate on custom orders. I read the fine print and I think it said you could also combine those incentives with A, D and Z plans. X plans left out.

You already discussed final price with the dealer? I placed an order but didn't have final price. The sale person said I can use x-plan but nothing write on the paper.

No, we didn't discuss the final price with X-Plan. I didn't have the X-Plan PIN at the time I signed docs, but my salesman said I can give them the PIN any time and they will subtract $2k from the X-Plan price. According to the X-Plan pricing chart, it will take $2,651 off MSRP for the Timberline. There's nothing on my paperwork about the X-Plan, either.

Platinum with HD trailer and E Diff. Ordered 12/18/21. Only received a “do you want to receive emails” from ford, nothing else at all from Ford since.
January 28 went to dealer, who only then provided a vin and production week of March 28th.
Checking status on Ford website shows in production but no Window Sticker.
I assume my build date has been delayed, but nothing from Ford or dealer.
Price was about $2000 under MSRP.

Just an observation: Reported “chip shortages” aside. Ford (and GM) want(s) to change their business model to get back like the old days where most cars were ordered, instead of dealers stocking them.

If this is an example of how “Ordering” a car works. I’m betting dealers who still stock cars, will be doing most of the selling.

Can't stock what you don't have. I'm here in Michigan. Where the old Palace of Auburn Hills was (now just a giant parking lot) there are over 1000 GM Trucks waiting for chips. I've also been on site at Chrysler and there are 1000s of RAM Trucks and Wagoneers waiting to be completed. Forums for the Bronco have noted 1000s of Broncos parked in a lot.

I just heard from my dealer and my expedition has now been pushed back to 5/2! Now we’re two months behind the original production week of 3/7. I don’t get what the hold up is, it’s as plain jane of an XLT max as you can get

@rebekha3884 I'm in Canada. I bought from a friend who is a Ford sales manager. He normally gives me great deals, but everything here is pre-sold and orders are capped quite low. Without any incentives, they can't do much in way of deals since they need to turn a profit on every sale. He did throw in some of the dealer installed extras like the mats and roof cross bars. I could have done little better at a bigger dealership in town but I'd rather order locally.

Started Feb 28th, they keep pushing it out. I think Ford is doing this on purpose. They should give everyone a 5% discount each week they delay.

Yep, just got the same email. Mine started out on 2/14 5 emails ago. I’m now at March 21. And I ordered mine 11/5/21

I ordered a platinum max on 10/26. I removed the RES from the order on 1/21 and then my order was “accepted” but still no build date.

Originally scheduled for production week of 2/21, pushed out to 2/28, but status actually switched to production on 2/26/22.
