i have a 2002 expedition with the 5.4 engine, xlt 4wd. when going from reverse to drive, it takes several seconds for drive to engage. it is much slower when the fluid is cold, and just a touch better when it is hot. The transmission shift normal while driving, but I am concerned! Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had recently noticed some similar delays myself when it was cold, but maybe not as long as you describe.

I recently had my transmission POWER FLUSHED, filter replaced, and the system refilled with Synthetic Trans Fluid.

No noticable delay now, and much smoother shifting.

If you have not had your transmission serviced since you got it, this may be the cure. In any case, it can't hurt to have it done.
