So, we had to take our new 2019 XLT in for some warranty items to be addressed, nothing major. They gave my wife a loaner. I cant believe they actually did this honestly, gave her the Platinum model to drive for the week. That's like a big fat slap to the face. lol Here, you couldn't afford this one, but we will tease you and let you drive it for a week and see what you are missing. That's how I kind of feel at the moment.

Would you rather have something from the other end of the spectrum, like a stripped out Escape? My dealer gave me a base Edge when I had plans to put all 4 kids in the back and tow utility trailer. I introduced myself to the general manager over that one...

Oh heck now. He wanted to put her in an Explorer, and I told him I wanted at least another expedition. Just didn't expect that. We bought the 202 version, which has a lot of the Limited and Platinum's options. But would have rather had the 201 base model, so we would be excited to get's ours back when it was ready. lol

My 1wk old XLR door line is not line up, the hood kind of sitting lower than the fender, one FX4 badge was put on crooked. I wonder if I should take it in for warranty body work adjustment without much of a hassle? Also hopefully to get a Platinum Expedition loaner to drive :)

Get Forscan and turn off some of the offensive Platinum stuff that is bothering you.
Then call your therapist, time to go back to bi-weekly appointments.

Consider yourself lucky. In some circles had the Expedition been white, the dealership would clearly be racist.

Ha, our XLT is white. They gave us a red one. To much racism already I guess. lol

Taaangy234, I'd take it back for anything and everything. You bought a brand new vehicle, and spent a lot on it. It needs to be prefect!

One plus side though, I want to put 22's on ours, but my wife didn't want them because she thought they would make it ride rougher. After driving the platinum, she said there is no difference. So that is a green light in my book! Also sucks, because it has the Led headlights. That is the center of a lot of discussions on here, so that's another slap in the face.

We only drive the new Expedition on the weekend to go to church, and groceries.
First trip, my wife complaining how bumpy the ride is on my FX4 XLT than my 08 Honda Pilot.
I'm going to take my XLT in after work today to get the door and hood adjustment.

If you don’t have the CCD, those 22s are going to be murder. You need the CCD to mitigate the harsh ride that is going to result from so little rubber.

Actually, they put some beefy tires on the stock 22's. I was looking at them earlier. I was expecting them to be skinny also. If that was the case, yeah, it would be rough.
I will say this, we took it down a rougher road tonight, and the dang things bounces. Feels really really squishy. Our XLT rides smooth as can be on 20's.

Put it in Sport mode and all that soft grandma ride goes away immediately. I HATE the normal mode, it rides like an old ladies 1980 Caprice bobbing all over the road.

When I had a major engine problem with my Land Rover, they had it in the shop for about a month. They gave me a Suzuki as a loaner!!! It was so badly out of alignment it wore out the from tires while I had it. Then they tried to charge me a cleaning fee when I returned it!

Man i feel like i need to test a plat model or ccd, the first i ever test drove felt amazing. In eco mode, it is quite soft but nothing egregious and normal felt great(esp the new nav). At first i thought the base suspension rode better, however the bump absorption is 2 hit and miss at times, esp on textured surfaces I do love the fact that the base sus is so tied down but id take a floaty bouncy but compliant ride over a flat but brittle flinty ride. The 17 plat me and my wife tested was amazing as well.

I have a Platinum with CCD and agree with you on the bounciness. I absolutely do not like the CCD suspension and would prefer a standard setup!

We just got out XLT back today, and my wife says the only thing she misses is the power running boards from the Platinum. I've already priced them out, and might get them for her for Christmas. Oh yeah, she did like the 22's also.

The 22s wont make the car bouncy if u get on on the std springs. They mayb slightly more "harsh" on potholes and cracked pavement, however someone here already added them to their xlt and said the ride diff was neglible

If you're near Houston, I remember seeing there were a few sets of the OEM 22" with new tires on Craigslist for around $3,000.

So is this an upsell attempt? Or did they give you an Expedition, cause that's what you had and the person handling loaners has no further information and they didn't want to downgrade you or give you something with a seat count or cargo capacity that possibly wouldn't work for your needs?
