spark plugs choice please...

Motorcraft Original Equipment Finewire Single Platinum Spark Plug...$5 each im looking at. which does some of you have tried (sparkplugs) WITH miles on them. dont want them breaking or misfiring. just looking for a better then STOCK plug thats made well.prob. motocraft.... these plugs that are in now...4 yrs now. runs smooth,great. 4.6 "97" 160,000
txs everyone again in advance.....:High 5: getting rdy for fl trip from n.jersey june-july....ill be putting 3300 miles or more those 2 weeks easy.:burnout:

I have used Autolites with good success but most will recommend Motorcraft. Would suggest that you also clean the exhaust ports thru the throttle body would only need two gaskets and some throttle body cleaner to do the job but throttle body needs to be removed to do it proper check youtube for videos on this

i did that to pass inspection egr ect...everything was cleaned pretty good taken apart. plugs made big difference on 99 explorer i got. didnt ask mech./shop what they used,(wifes truck) hehe,but... wanna make good choice on expedition but i think motocraft has to be it.......$5....advanced auto. i bringt my parts with my truck....the explorer,i let them do as they please. owner been on my cars/trucks since freshman year....lol he knows how i am....lol :High 5:

one thing that is important in changing the plugs is when you install the new plugs torque them to spec

friend owns salvage yard,fixes and replaces motors/trans ect...i watch hang around ALOT! ANYWAY....HE USES MOTORCRAFT plugs on the construction co. he does all there fords. 5.4 4.6 motors. i dont use him on my motor ever since good mech left yrs ago but i c ALOT of these motors 4.6 on floor,apart sometimes. VERY VERY common motor....used in all state and city cars which he does as well. USES MOTOCRAFT plugs. cant go cheap on those....lol. but everything else like upper arms,ball joints brake pads,rotors,coils,starters.. ect....is all garbage brands....what ever local auto store brings him....lol.

naaa...i seen E3 come out of engine after few yrs. looked like chit. the plugs in my truck now....are old. no misfire,no hicup...nothing. dont care for them cause plugs on expy arent easy to change. id have to change those i was told often....they worked good under 2 yrs. pic below was similar to what it looked like after like 3 yrs.

Motorcraft and nothing else. Autolites are built side by side with Motorcraft plugs but for some reason will cause misfires.
