This has been happening to me for the last year. Currently in the shop for the fourth time. I actually got Ford to replace the IPMA hardware on the 3rd visit and it DID NOT fix the issue. Came back within 10 days. Been hearing about this magical fix since the first visit. I am using a loaner right now and they are letting me use it until the end of the month with the hope that the fix happens by the grace of God this month... I will believe it when I see it. This is ridiculous!!!!! I am done with Ford. As soon as it is fixed I am getting rid of it. Tried to get the dealership to buy it and they will not take it until the fix is applied...

I don't understand how Ford can let this go on for so long considering the safety concerns with permanent faults for driver assistance. That seems like a lot of liability. I am surprised a recall hasn't been issued.

Anyone else get this new update yet?

Mine’s showing “Priority Update – Driver Display” (24-PU0128-RBA-OTE) and it says “Not Completed.” It’s on Wi-Fi and scheduled for 1 AM.

The description says:

Your vehicle’s dashboard alerts, such as temperature and speed warnings, are now displayed with enhanced clarity, making it easier for you to stay updated.

Just wondering if anyone else got this one and if it fixed the issue we’ve all been dealing with.

Make sure lights are off not on auto and turn the parking brake on.

We had a PCM-25.6.3 that updated on 10/15. Didn't do anything to help the IPMA issues. It's been over a year that we've had this issue. We're giving them until the end of the month (as indicated in the bulletin) and then either telling them to take it and give us something new, or go through legal action if they try to shortchange us on trade-in because of this "issue". Have also spoken with a class action attorney (we're in Michigan so they're versed) since this likely impacts a lot of individuals and Ford has no motivation to fix this.

I feel like ford keeps stringing everyone a long so we give up. They know what’s wrong but it’s more money than they want to spend. However, we paid 60k plus for these trucks. We aren’t going to just lay down and forget it.

Unfortunately didn’t work. I had to take it in for them to manually update it. It turned out to be a voltage issue causing it not to update. The update however did not solve the main issue we’ve been having. I was told they still expect to have an OTA update by the end of this month…. But they didn’t seem very confident about it….

Does everybody forget the Pinto with the exploding gas tank? 27 people lost their lives. Ford figured it was cheaper to pay the claims on the injuries and deaths than to redesign the placement of the gas tanks. Bottom line they really don't give a damn about problems with their products.

redesign the placement of the gas tanks
Funny how Ford gets labeled as the bad guy for something that every US auto manufacturer was doing. American cars from the 1930s into the 1980s all had their fuel tanks mounted at the very rear of the vehicle with nothing between the tank and disaster but a wimpy bumper. And, many of these cars had their fuel filler behind the license plate in the center of the bumper. The Ford Pinto was not unique in having a poorly protected fuel tank.

Please put down your pom, poms. Ford Pinto was unique as they were the ones that caught fire for some time while Ford paid the claims rather alter the tanks position relevant to the rear end which punctured the tank as it was pushed into it. Nor did Ford do a damn thing to mitigate the problem.

Unfortunately, not completed means that OTA trigger failed for some reason. Once you see "not completed", there is nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent.

SSM 54350 2022-2024 Expedition - Various Driver Assistance Feature Warning Messages Displayed In The IPC, Various Invalid Data/Lost Communication DTCs Stored In Various Modules
Some 2022-2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with driver assistance features and minor feature codes DBCBB and DBCBC may exhibit driver assistance feature warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). Additionally, some modules may store invalid data/lost communication related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). The image processing module A (IPMA) should not store these DTCs. This condition may be due to the software in the IPMA, causing it to not communicate on the network. Whether the issue is intermittent or the IPMA is currently failing to communicate, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Recovery" app in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. If IPMA communication had to be restored using the Recovery App, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module (IPMA) Alignment" app, recheck DTCs and confirm that all warning messages are cleared from the IPC.

If these steps correct the condition, release the vehicle back to the customer. Advise the customers that a permanent repair to prevent recurrence is expected to be available to dealers by the end of March 2026 and schedule a service visit at this time. If the IPMA still does not communicate on the network after performing the recovery app, continue with normal diagnosis. Refer to the Workshop Manual, Section 419-07 > Lane Keeping System > Diagnosis and Testing.
