Im not sure, but it seems like my speedometer is slightly off… When you change the size of your rims and tires does that affect the speedometer enough for it to misread? I went from the standard 17" rim and 255/75 size tires, to a 16" rim with 295/75 size tires.

yeah it went off a little cause of the bigger tires. you can correct it with a programmer. or i think even a shop can do it for you too. but its not really a big deal with that slight of a tire change. if you went to 35s or 37s then you will want to get it changed so your tranny knows when to shift correctly.

yea your tires will affect the speedo... but minimally... usually will be close until you go bigger than 35s...

depending on your year to fix the speedo... 99+ can change with a programmer and 97-98 need a different gear placed into the speedo... one with a different tooth count

I did some quick math for you...
You went from a 30" tire to a 33" (roughly). This is a 10% increase in size; therefore, your speedo is now off by 10%. Whatever speed it displays, add 10% to that.
