I have a 2000 Expedition that would not start.
Turn the key, a loud click, that was it.
I crawled under truck, the large positive cable was covered with green corrosion and the end was almost broken off.
A new wiring harness was about $100, so I installed a 40" long cable from the solenoid on the firewall to starter.
$8 and it works like new.
I left the old wire where it was.
