Hey I had a starter going out, had to bang it and then it was fine. I decided its time to replace and took it to a guy who put the new one in and it just had a click. Bought another new one and just a click. Put the old one back in (that was working) and just a click. Battery is only 1 month old and even tried jump starter. I should note the new starter come with solenoid. It worked fine for the most part before replacing it. Could the anti theft do this. Please help.

Jump the large studs on the solenoid mounted on the firewall. If the starter turns the solenoid is bad, if not you should check voltage drop on the starter circuit.

Is the red light on the top of your dash (where the light sensor is) solid for a few seconds or blinking quickly?
