Stereo problems!!!!

Ok, so I hooked up a radio in a 02 expy eb, and I know it's hooked up correct. I turn it on, and it gets power, but the screen doesn't come on! It's not the radio, this is the2nd one going in it! Where's the electrical problem stem? Looking on the computer it says it might be a short in the ground wire, but I don't see one. Where do I start? Help is neede asap

Is this an aftermarket radio or OEM?

It's an aftermarket. I'm sure it doesn't have to so with the radio itself. We tried to ground it somewhere else and the door chimes started working again.

I'll have to check the wiring diagram later to see what wires go to what.

What do you mean the door chimes started working, were they not working before?
