Stock headrest monitors with t-style radio.

Hi all! I have an 18 expy with the stock entertainment monitors in the headrests, is there anyway to connect them to .my t-style radio to view the DirecTV app for the rear passengers?

No idea what the last half of your question means, but on ours you are able to stream from your phone to the headrests using the SmartStream feature of the FordPlay app.

I swapped the stock head unit for an aftermarket tesla style radio. Simply wanting to know if I'm streaming DIRECTV on the t-style radio, is there anyway to connect the headrest to get them to display what's being played on the head-unit.

If that head unit can get the FordPlay app, then maybe. I am assuming it's an Android. I had a quick look in the Google Play store and can't see it there. In fact - the FordPlay app is gone from the Apple App Store too... It seems Ford has killed off the FordPlay app...

Miracast
Checking the manual for the RES, it also supports Miracast. There are MiraCast apps for Android, so that might be worth exploring if you can get it installed on your head unit. Page 16 in that manual.

HDMI
Not sure what outputs are available on that aftermarket head unit, but the RES accepts an HDMI input too, if you felt like routing a cable through the centre console or something.
