Hi again,
can anyone tell me if I remove the shift motor on 99 exped. transfercase can I phyically turn the shaft and get my truck back in awd instead of 4 H or 4L where its at now . if I can turn it will it stay there and can I drive it ?

what I can tell you is, my cousin has a 98 f150. when his shift motor went out, he rmoved the motor, and manually switched it to 2 wheel drive.

I just tried to turn it today, could turn it about a third the way and then it got tight . Afraid to snap it off. I also removed the 104 fuse and the #23 that someone suggested to get it out of 4 hi but that didnt work either. Also cut the brown single wire at switch motor as perscribed but no luck . Thanks for the reply, any suggestions are gladly welcome.
