According to the wiring diagram it does illuminate

How well can you read and understand wiring diagrams and do you have a test meter

It's a common issue that the light goes out on these switches, I seriously doubt it's a wiring issue. I tried to repair the light in mine, but I mistakenly assumed the fault was in the piece that connects the PCB to the switch. I soldered the PCB in, only to find out that the fault is in a component, possibly a diode or a resistor, which probably has a bad solder joint but I couldn't get to it. I replaced the switch instead..

Would you happen to know if there is a fuse in the circuit for the switch LED

Yep, had to use the wiring diagrams to track my rear ac auxiliary fan problem this weekend. Thanks again for the wiring diagrams Bedrck 47. Had a bad rear climate control fan speed switch that was not allowing the rear ac fan to come on. Just noticed that the sunroof switch did not illuminate and figure I would replace while I had the overhead lid is already down.

Just purchased 2004 Ford Eddie Bauer with 70K miles from the "elderly lady" who literally pulled out of the garage to pick up the grandkids and drive it to church on a Sunday.

On a side subject, is the air suspension on these pretty robust or should I expect problems in the future. As of now, it is working perfect.

Can't answer about the air suspension

For your Roof switch Check fuse 22 also check the connector at the switch you should have 12 Volts on the pink wire and the black wire The pink is the hot wire and black is ground

There is a fuse of course, but it doesn't have its own separate fuse. I think the fuse for the light on the switch is tied into the same fuse as the rest of the dashboard illumination..
