Hi, I need to replace the transmission cooler lines in my 1999 5.4 XLT. Looking for parts I see some describes as for "super cooling option". How do I tell if I have super cooling? I did a VIN look up, that didnt help.
I do have the tow package, but radiator is single core.
Thanks
Barry

go to ford etis enter your vin number and you can see what was on the expy when built

Rad should be two row unless it was changed or was the tow package added?

If it is the heavy duty tow package, then there will be a small external trans cooler behind the front bumper. There is a difference between the two package and HD tow package

I have the external trans cooler and Etis says I have standard cooling. Single core radiator too. Keeps it cool but gonna upgrade before next summer incase I need to tow anything heavy.

I too have the external additional tranny cooler. The selection for cooler lines includes "additional cooler with super cooling" and "additional cooler without super cooling" so that doesnt seem to be the deciding factor.
I tried the VIN on the Ford Etis site, and it said it had no record.
I tried it on the Ford fleet site. It does come up but with just basic info. Other sites which supposedly give you the full sticker info tell me the VIN is no longer in their data base.
If anyone has access to something that has older info, the VIN is 1FMRU17L0XLC48884
thanks
