Looking to find what about what gains can be had with a Superchips Programmer. Like Torque and HP. I cannot seem to find any information about the details of the gains.

Canned tune...best best is to buy HP Tuners or something similar, you get a much better end result with a bit more work.

Unless you've already added some other performance mods you're won't see much/if any gains with just a tune. On our Mustangs I won't even think about adding a tune until I've done the exhaust, and changed gears.

5startuning in vendor section but not on superchips...he does ECS

I recommend 5 Star!
I have been working with Mike for a couple weeks now getting the tune nailed down on my manual tranny swap. I am sure my situation is a little more complicated than most, but we damn near got it on the third revision.

If you have a basic cookie cutter vehicle like a 5.4l F-150/Expy with stock components, a custom tune will rock right out of the box.

You won't see huge gains by any means. Maybe a few HP and a couple of MPG's. But the biggest gain will be the fine tuning of the slush box shift points.

I just got my Superchips Cortex. Haven't heard anything bad about it so I bought one from Superchips Programmer|4WO. I'm hoping that it will help improve the mpg of my rig. Will post a short review next time.

Completely disagree, especially on auto trans vehicles. While I haven't tuned my Navi yet I have experience SCT tunes on other Fords. Typically a few tenths in the quarter, over a half a second in a otherwise stock Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Yes better gains can be had the more engine mods/high stall convertor/gears but still worth the $400 IMHO.

On auto trans vehicles worth it for the improvement in shift schedules alone
