Hi all…2014 expedition 5.2…..This arm $133 goes on pass side of rear pumpkin…acts like an old school traction bar. My frontbushing prob no good I feel the thump and friend seen move,I saw video on it as well… ANYONE ever change this on ground…I know driveshaft needs to be unhooked at rear moved over or taken out to get the long bolt up front. Then it’s easy 4 bolts on pumpkin, those I can get. Front and drive shaft is question….shop prob charge me $175 maybe more for me being LAZY.. txs in advance All

check this out https://youtu.be/DelqMr6Mmaw?si=e0K66A0ZDkj-JCnM

it is a two piece drive shaft so the rear piece just comes out, but you don't have to. All i did was loosen the rear drive shaft and had it sit on the sway bar. Then used two jack stands on one to hold the rear diff and the other to hold the diff bracket. I ordered the Rear Differential Support Bracket Replacement from my local Ford dealership $149.98.

I just followed the instructions from FordTechMakuloco video i posted above. It is super easy to do like 30-35 mins.

…looks easy like you said. So that long bolt WILL NOT come out without moving/removing driveshaft, okay then. The jacks….i put one under pumpkin/rear diff….and I’m okay no? This way bracket comes off. Video I saw…I’ll just slide shaft out like he did…unless bolt comes out easy then I’ll just move over. You did it on ground correct? Got part from. Sneed ford on line…… Txs I again ….

Did you do this on ground….seems like it can be done without lifting truck at all. Idk…. I still haven’t done yet. Hot here nj 95 or better this whole week.

It's tough, but the driveshaft can be removed from the rear diff without rotating the driveshaft. I would think it's almost impossible to torque it properly with the tires on the ground as access to the bolts on top would be limited. I always support the rear of the frame on jack stands at the designated jack point so I can put the trans in neutral and then rotate the driveshaft.

Another issue is getting under the running boards. If you're fairly skinny you could get under there and do the work with the truck sitting on the tires, but it'll be tight.

As noted the bracket is pretty quick and easy to replace.

…yes I can roll under there no problem. I do oil changes n ground. I thought of that being in neutral on ground. There’s 4 bolts rear of shaft looks easy…move it move aside…then there’s that long 5 inch nut/bolt frt of arm… should break easy from GROUND with 2 nice long ratchets…NOT sure….my power stuff hope fits be easier. 4 bolts back of arm easyer to come off and for me to get leverage to break from GROUND. Plenty of room there…..I’ll see. I think it’s a $200 job anywhere with lift.

Oh cool. I do oil changes on the ground as well, but if I force myself under the running boards I struggle to get back out. I'm sure it's doable, but the lower it is the more difficult it's likely to be. Getting mine up on my 9" tall solid wood ramps makes everything so much easier.

I broke the 4 bolts on the diff bracket loose with a breaker bar and then hit those with the electric ratchet. The front bracket bolt I was able to use to my impact gun with an extension to outside the frame rail and a wrench on the nut of course. I can get the rear driveshaft bolts out without turning the drive shaft, but there's no way I can get my torque wrench on the bolts on top so I have to turn it. I torque 2 and then rotate 180 degrees and torque the other 2. I use a torque wrench a lot, I used to break bolts and strip threads all the time.
