Sync 4A WiFi issue?

UPDATE*

Soo begrudgingly (because I’m sick) got in my truck and drove it around the city for well over 30 mins.

And then came back home to Wi-Fi and opened my network app where I proceeded to watch it download over 1.50 GB of data. lol.

After the throughput went to 0 I locked it up and waited, checking the app..

FINALLY the app is telling me it updated to 4.2.2.2!

Thank god.

I haven’t checked to see if the new UI is there but I am trusting y’all’s feedback that the OTA Gods have finally blessed me..and it is.. i will check maybe later or tomorrow though..

Can't believe it........my sync 4A has finally updated today to 4.2.2.2 after 51 weeks from my delivery date. The camera button is PERFECT.........................Thank you Ford long overdue 1st update..................

turned truck on tonight and low and behold the new ui was there to greet me in all its camera button and climate dial goodness..

After months of waiting and on the phone with ford and the dealership, the day finally came!!

Let’s hope it continues with the 5 series updates!

okay, my app shows 4.2.2.2 this morning. Unfortunately i had to leave very early and am not in the Expedition. Maybe my wife will see changes. BTW, im also at week 51 of owning it.

UPDATE: My wife texted me a picture. We do have the new features. About time. Welcome to last year!!!

UPDATE: I did get what i have been waiting seven months for. The interface is much better, but i would like more changes that would be easy, but will save that for another day.

Only time will tell if it fixed all the bugs i had….things not working as they should.

Should be seeing 5.1.1 coming, as I understand these are the prerequisites to BC 1.3

Yep. Got that update today. Release notes are vague as can be. Basically just says it makes adjustments to prepare vehicle for exciting upcoming updates. Doesn’t go into any specifics on what adjustments were made or what was actually updated…

Crazy to think that we all went weeks, months, some even a year without a single update and now we’ve all gotten like at least 1 a week. Lolol.

Hope you’re correct. Ford has been taunting us with BC updates since we got our ‘24 Platinum in October.

I got 5.1.1 last night as well. It looks like another “this one is to open the door for the next one”. It does say the next one will be “exciting”. Maybe it a “tune” to get us to 500hp. Now THAT would be exciting.

Still at 5.1.1 I would bet it either pushes out early next week or after the 4th of July weekend. Not good IT practice to push out large changes during a holiday where lots of people are traveling. Last thing you want is to brick someone’s vehicle on a road trip.

Still 5.1.1

Network traffic has been minimal since 5.1.1 - lots of 30+min connections but not a lot of packets back and forth. Memorial day it skipped a week, doesn't explain last week but who knows.

I did notice the apim connected last week (week ago today) as scheduled but didn't have the associated traffic it usually does when it updates.

Seems to be up to something currently, we'll see what it does over next few hours.

Still rolling 5.1.1, no apim connection since that update. I did notice my F150 hasn't had an apim connection since around the same time which makes me think it's server side.

Expedition hasn’t updated past 5.1.1 but my F-150 got updates below a few days ago. Only thing I would like to see is profiles on Sync4a but don’t know if that will ever be available on Expedition. Another thing that I would like to see is to be able to split the screen between the map and radio like the 12” Sync 4 does but I doubt they ever make that enhancement. There’s a lot of wasted space on the 15” screen.

You can't really compare update track to F150s. I have a '21 Lariat with the 12" Sync4 and wife drives the Expo with 4A, having both I prefer the 12" but feel the 15" looks more fitting in the Expo. Updates have gone a long way on the Sync4A IMO. My F150 hasn't gotten an update in probably 4 months, already had approach lighting; Drives me crazy the Expo doesn't just inherent have that feature...I've made comments on that in EAP..

Got 5.1.2 yesterday. Don’t really notice much of anything except now you can have 2 phones connected at once but only for hands free calling not as audio sources which seems pointless. I think this is the latest “power up” for the expeditions for the time being. They could start releasing a bunch of small bug fix updates like they’ve done for the F-150 this year to address known problem areas/ update blue cruise for those that have it.

I just got what I think may be a BC 1.3 related update. TCU-24-2.3.6 - 0 hits online but looking at other models seems to be a very recent release.. Couldn't bring myself to drive to the interstate to find out tonight but the lane assist was noticeably more stable.
