Sync/NAV Update

Hi everyone,
I bought an `09 expedition Limited with Microsoft Sync, it works "ok" with my new blackberry z10 but does not seem to support text messaging. Wondering if I just need an update and what the latest update is.

Also, how do I go about getting the latest maps and info for the NAV system? is there a sim card, or an update available somewhere?

Text Messaging is phone dependent. The only phones that I have seen with text message support are newer Windows Phone devices. I am not sure of the technical limitations, but I believe it is a BlueTooth stack issue in the phone itself.

Note that there are a few apps in the Android market that can allow text messages to be read over any speaker, including a phone BT connection. You could investigate those, as I understand that most Android apps can be "side-loaded" onto the new BlackBerry phones even if an actual port is not available in the BB market. I haven't ever found one that works well for me, but I don't SMS very much, so I haven't really spent the time trying, either.

In my 2012 I can receive texts to my Sync from my Android, but I can't send. It's an integration thing.
