tailgate problems

Some times the tail gate will stop when going down & horn will sound . 2019 XLT . open it & it will close normal .

The hatch strut area gets really dusty. Clean this area really good and maybe hit the hatch struts with silicone spray. My thoughts. Mine has never done what your describing.

This is a safety feature. I think it prevents you from closing the tailgate when key is inside and the doors are locked.

Try to unlock the doors using the remote or the button inside, then close the tailgate again.
